Sattu Chilla | Gluten Free | Healthy Snack | Low Carb Recipe

Sattu is made up of different grains and pulses, mainly roasted Bengal gram flour. Sattu is a rich source of protein, dietary fiber, and micronutrients such as calcium and iron. It may help in blood circulation and can reduce inflammation.

Sattu is filled with a great amount of insoluble fiber which can benefit the gut. Consumption of sattu not only cleanses out the colon but helps to ease certain problems like constipation, bloating, and acidity. It may also help to relief irritation and burning in the stomach. Sattu is gluten-free and low in glycemic index.

 

Ingredients:
  • Sattu Flour – ½ Cup
  • Onion, chopped – 1 small
  • Lime Juice – 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Turmeric Powder – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Red Chilli Powder – ½ Teaspoon
  • Curd – 2 Tablespoon
  • Oil – For Brushing

NOTE: You can vegetables as per your choice to make it more nutritious.

Method:
  1. Take a deep mixing bowl, add sattu, onion, lemon juice, turmeric and salt.
  2. Add curd and make a batter using water as required.
  3. Heat a non-stick, grease a little oil and pour the batter on the pan. Use a ladle to shape the chilla, cook from both sides till golden brown.
  4. Serve hot with green chutney.
