In fact, at that level where skill, talent & training are very important, nutrition can make the difference between winning & losing. With gruelling training and practice to improve their strength, endurance, flexibility and agility, one should also equally focus on nutrition for athletes. It is always not only about what is to be consumed pre- and post-workout, but the right way to incorporate nutrients overall to maximise the performance is important. Each sport is different and requires a different approach. This makes the role of an experienced sports dietitian unique. At Balcal Nutrefy, after a detailed understanding of the person’s schedule, training plan, areas of improvement & specific goals, a comprehensive diet plan is charted out by our expert team of nutritionists. The program focusses not only on training but also takes into consideration the days of rest, tournaments, location and availability of food while on tournaments, etc. The Sports Nutrition Plan focusses on the right food type, caloric intake, nutrient timing, fluids, and supplementation all of which are essential and specific to each individual
