Homemade Strawberry Milkshake | Healthy Dessert Recipe

Strawberries can be used to make variety of dessert recipes. But strawberry milkshake always tops the list and is enjoyed by kids as well as the adults. A glass of fresh strawberry milkshake is all one needs as a treat as it contains no artificial flavours.

Winter is the best season to get hands on freshly grown strawberries. These red juicy fruits are excellent sources of vitamin C, high in antioxidants and vitamins that promotes heart health, improve immunity and make our skin healthy.

Strawberries are also a good source of soluble fibre which helps prevent many diseases. It is a rich source of Potassium, Manganese, and Folate, which helps in regulating blood pressure. They are a rich source of antioxidant – Anthocyanin which is responsible for its bright red colour. The antioxidant in them helps reduce oxidative stress, reduce inflammation & decrease bad cholesterol.

Ingredients:

  • Strawberries – 7 to 8 in no
  • Milk – 200 ml
  • Thick Fresh Cream – 2 tbsp
  • Milk Powder – 2 Tablespoons
  • Sugar / Honey – 1 Tablespoon
  • Ice-Cubes – optional

Method:

  1. In a blender add all the above ingredients
  2. Blend them to make a smooth thick shake consistency
  3. Pour the mixture into a tall glass and enjoy cold or at room temperature
NOTE: Strawberries can be replaced with Mango / Chickoo / Sitaphal / Banana or any seasonal fruit.
