Homemade Almond Milk | Vegan Milk | Protein Rich Recipe

Almond milk is an excellent, healthy alternative to cow’s milk which can be made at home in just couple of minutes. The absence of lactose and cholesterol is an additional perk of almond milk. Nutrients like magnesium, vitamin E, and Fiber is abundant in almonds, which makes this recipe not just tasty but also nutritious & a healthy.

Almond milk can be enjoyed on its own or incorporated into coffee, smoothies, and baked goods throughout the day!

Ingredients:
  • Almonds – 1 Cup
  • Water – 4 Cups
Method:
  1. Soak the almonds for 4 to 6 hours in 2 cups of water.
  2. Before blending, drain the almonds.
  3. Add the soaked almonds with 4 cups of water in a blender.
  4. Blend it on a high speed until the mixture is smooth and with almond pieces left.
  5. Squeeze the almond milk through a muslin cloth to remove the milk.
  6. If you want to flavour the almond milk with vanilla or chocolate extract, add it and give a nice stir
  7. You can also refrigerate the almond milk in an airtight jar for upto 4 days.
